Estate Agents Brentwood

This is my first blog. I thought 'Why do estate agents charge a percentage?' was a fitting title considering my wife and I have just launched a FIXED FEE estate agency in the wonderful town of Brentwood, Essex.

2014 is finally here! It's the year estate agents have been waiting for. The property market is back, house prices are on the rise and it's a great time to sell!  But hold on a minute, a new type of client has emerged, a client who has made it through the worst of a recession, a client that wants value for money and I can understand why.  They've had to tighten their belts and watch the pennies over the last 6 years. We're once again a humble nation.

So, why does selling a 5 bedroom detached home cost more in estate agency fees than selling a 2 bedroom apartment, does that sound like value for money to you?  There's actually more work involved when selling a leasehold apartment than there is a freehold house!

You all know that most high street estate agents charge more money than you really want to pay, yet you still pay it anyway. Why?

Selling a home can be emotional, stressful and time consuming.  So why would you want to do it yourself? Do you really want to take time out to conduct viewings, negotiate on the best price, call solicitors on a daily basis and deal with long and complicated chains? Probably not!

That's exactly why you choose a decent, local estate agent! They take care of everything from start to finish!  But do they really need a flash office and flash cars to sell your home? Not anymore!
